Dashboard

The dashboard is an overview of your Viadeo activities.

Your dashboard has many modules to display different information. To arrange the layout of your dashboard, just put your mouse over the module title and drag the module to the desired position. Use the lower right corner of each module to resize.

Arrange layout of your dashboard:

	Move a section : put your mouse over the module title and drag to the desired position.
	Minimising tool : top left of a module - only display module title
	Maximising tool : top left of a minimised module - open module
	Removal tool : top right of a module - close module. To reopen a module, click 'Personalise' at the top right of your dashboard and select the module to open.
	Stretching tool : top right of a module. Click to displays all information in the module.
	Resize tool : lower right of a module and only appears when you put your mouse over.
	Useful tip: Double-click on the title of a module to open or close the module section.

New users might have some empty modules at first. Complete your profile and have new contacts will activate modules automatically.

Each module is updated as you use Viadeo.

The links some modules will disappear after you have act on them, for example, accept connection request or forward a connection request.

The following action points might appear on your dashboard.

• Welcome to Viadeo: a welcome message reminding you to confirm your email address.
• Connection Request: a member would like to connect with you.
• Accept a request: another member has accepted your request to connect.
• Decline a request: another member has declined your request to connect.
• Introduction request: one of your contacts has sent you an introduction request.
• Request to forward an introduction request: one of your contacts has asked you to forward an introduction request to another one of your contacts.
• Acceptance of an introduction request: the person you wish to contact has accepted your request.
• Decline an introduction request: the person you wish to contact has declined your request.
• Decline to forward an introduction request you: one of the links in the path has declined to forward your request to the recipient.
• Request for reference: one of your contacts has asked you to write a reference about them.
• Reference about you: one of your contacts has written a reference about you.
• Request for change of a reference: one of your contacts has asked you to modify the reference you have written.
• Response to an ad: a member has responded to one of your ads.
• Forwarding an ad: one of your contacts has sent you an ad that they think might be of interest to you.
• Response to a job: a member has responded to a job you posted in Career.
• Forwarding a profile: one of your contacts has forwarded you a profile that they think might be of interest to you.
• Etc.

These are shared in real-time with your contacts. This can increase the visibility of your profile.

You can choose the information that you want to share with your network of contacts: 'My Profile: My Account: Send my news events to my contacts'.
